worst "festival" ever

thursday - as he climbed the dark mountain

last saturday i went to bamboozle. pretty much only because of friend hayley called me and asked me if i would go, and she had a ticket for me and would pick me and up and drive me home. so i said yes. so we got there kinda late. it was 20 bucks to park but we talked our way out of that. walked all the way around the lot to the entrance, then all the way back to the car, then back to the entrance. ran into emilyn in the beer garden, found out they ran out of schedules, which fucking sucked. went to the main stage and saw ednas fucking goldfish, what a fucking flashback. sam and nicole met us there. then we spent hte next 4 or 5 hours seeing a bunch of random bands that included ishc and bloodhound gang, getting as much free stuff as possible, getting free monster drinks and willy wonka candy (blah so gross), going on rides, (cliff hanger and BUMPER CARS!) and getting sunburned. then finally we got to watch new found glory as we rode bumper cars, then we got to see THE MOTHERFUCKING GET UP KIDS! they played a bunch of great songs but alas it was a tiny set and a festival so it wasn't all so great. as soon as they were done we turned and ran to the other side of the festival to see the horrorpops who have gotten a lot less entertaining since i saw them last, although i was like 16 then, and it wasn't on a huge stage at a shitty festival. then we went back to the main stage to see the special guest, which ended up being journey. they had a 35 minute set, and played 4 songs, it was crazy. then we went back and watched GWAR. second time seeing them. shorter set so they played less songs to make time for the killing and wrestling and dead babies. we left after that and it felt so fucking good to get home. bamboozle has seriously, and expectably gotten a million times worse since i went three years ago. for every okay band there are at least 10 terrible bands.

just look. ugh
